This my initial design for Lisa's bachelorette party invitation. It's going to go through more changes as I get some details about the actual night worked out. It was kind of a one day design task, because I had to have something to show yesterday. It was fun making the vegas sign graphic, and I was amazed that I couldn't find out what the actual typefaces used on the sign were, because they're these really cool 1950's 'modern' letters and you'd think you could just pick a similar sans serif typeface and be ok, but the strokes of the letters on the actual sign are different widths. The fonts I ended up using to make the lettering on my sign were Futura, Century Gothic, and Brush Script. I think it gets the idea across. When I finally print these out I think i'm going to switch back to a white background to minimize printing costs.
